Biography


After graduating with a Ph.D. in English from The Ohio State University in 1992, I accepted a professor position at New Mexico State University, where I taught until 2000.聽 In 2001, I came to 欧美视频, where I teach a variety of courses.聽 My favorite topics are the literature of the American West, Old English, Dante, the Bible as Literature, and Comics/Graphic Novels.聽 In addition to my work at 欧美视频, I am an ordained Episcopal priest, and serve a small parish in Amherst.

Outside of work, I greatly enjoy music and my favorite activity is playing guitar, both by myself and in several bands.

Current Research


Dr. Daniel J. Pinti’s聽current research is in two areas:聽 nonfiction writing about New Mexico and the desert Southwest, and the Grateful Dead as a musical and cultural phenomenon.

Current Involvement


Dr. Daniel J. Pinti currently serves on the Academic Senate and the Senate Curriculum Committee.
