Medical Excuse Policy

• Medical excuses are provided at the discretion of the Student Health Services medical provider, only when absolutely warranted due to the severity of the medical illness determined by our medical staff.
• Students will be advised to contact their professors directly about missed classes or assignments, preferably before missing a class. Medical excuses are not provided for missed classes prior to evaluation.
• Students who are kept out of classes by an off-campus provider are responsible for obtaining and forwarding a medical note from that provider to their appropriate dean and professors.
